winter protection class

One of our goals at the Hortus gardens is to keep testing the expectations of what can be grown in our Zone 6 climate. We grow many marginal plants (think zone 7) that need some extra protection in and outside of a Greenhouse situation. There are also many hardy plants that can grow well in our area, but need some type of covering from our very wet WInters when we thaw out into Spring.

Come get inspired to plant some Cactus, Fig  (or those many cuttings you take each Spring while pruning your plants that always seem to die) after attending this talk about the different strategies of protecting plants for Winter.
